I suspect Stephen King agrees, since his books sure have plenty of them. (Or maybe he's in the "Do as I say, not as I do" camp!)<br /><br />In any case, Jennifer is spot on. I can already envision a character who would describe a meal as, "That was apocalyptically bad," can't you?<br /><br />I have long thought about words that sound more beautiful than what they describe. "Rubella" is one of those for me. Also, I think "Veranda" sounds more like a great name than another word for porch or patio. Jennifer R.
