If I saw it for the first time today, I'd probably be more interested in Maureen O'Hara though. :)Bill Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04796321136771189464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388578325782539013.post-54078984950366777742017-09-05T17:42:46.778-04:002017-09-05T17:42:46.778-04:00I've never seen the Lindsay Lohan version. Whenever there's a remake, I think it's only natural that the one you like is the one you saw first. And Dennis Quaid is pretty great!

Speaking very unscientifically, I think boys my age were either Hayley Mills or Raquel Welch. Raquel was older, but that's not the kind of thing to influence celebrity fixations of pubescent boys, I suspect. A few years later, the boy crushes were Farrah, Jaclyn, or Kate—I was firmly Kate. :)Bill Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04796321136771189464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388578325782539013.post-47041721456481795002017-09-05T17:33:05.424-04:002017-09-05T17:33:05.424-04:00Thank goodness for production assistants, right?! ...Thank goodness for production assistants, right?! :)Bill Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04796321136771189464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3388578325782539013.post-88701035725183409182017-09-05T12:58:32.142-04:002017-09-05T12:58:32.142-04:00I LOVE the Parent Trap ... but confess I prefer th...I LOVE the Parent Trap ... but confess I prefer the Lindsay Lohan version. Perhaps because the dad in it is Dennis Quaid. I first saw the original only after I saw the remake (several times), so my heart belongs to the remake. Yes, it is preposterous, but I love the camp scenes, especially when they play the elaborate prank, complete with miles of string and... honey? Where did the campers get all of that stuff?? At the time I was desperately trying to grow my short hair long, and I couldn't fathom why anyone who was lucky enough to have long hair could bear to cut it. Yes, that is the kind of deep, thoughtful critique I brought to movies back then. ;-)Jennifer R. Hubbardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03408588432492354248noreply@blogger.com
