Ah, Change!
I've been sitting on a really fun book, one I finished writing in 2022. Why? For reasons too complicated for me to completely understand, it had not been the right time to submit it for publication. Now, it is.
Before it went to the powers-that-publish, I thought it best to give the book a once-over, expecting to find the normal share of random typos and clunky phrasing. But surprise!
In just these past 3.8 years, things have changed.
My first thought: simply update the gaming bits, the social media platforms, and such. But just as quickly, I realized that by the time this book is accepted, published, and in the hands of readers, something else will have changed. At risk of seeming like an ostrich with her stuck-in-the-past head in the sand, I've, instead, chosen to skirt the issues through creative phrasing. I can't promise that every bit will be relevant in 2028, but it won't be as lame as it seemed just three weeks ago.
Jody Feldman wants to wish you all the happiest of holidays and the best of all new years, assuming that's still a really good practice :)
