If I'd Dared to Dream

 

Like most kids facing senior year, it was time to get serious about my next chapter. For me, it was always college but then it was time to answer the big question adults love to ask: What do you want to be when you grow up? What they mean is...
What do you really want to do with your life?

 Me? If I’d dared to dream, I might have chosen treasure hunter, codebreaker, or something with a bit of bravado. My practical and cautious side. though, reined me in. Since then, dream jobs have also included inventor, movie director, architect, and, especially, casting director. Sure, there've been others but life, funny thing that it is, led me where I am right now. 

Maybe I didn’t know it then, but I know it now. I’m living my dream.

Jody Feldman does love to write, but going into schools and talking to readers, just may be the dreamiest part of her job.
